An abandoned black mitten, some forthcoming Hampshire entertainments, and holly berries in the rain…

An abandoned black mitten, in Portsmouth City Centre this morning…

Some upcoming events in Southsea and Southampton….and I might well’ve gone to the 10cc gig, but I’m meeting up with some old friends in Covent Garden that evening…

Some holly berries in the rain, in Titchfield at lunchtime today…

A frock in a shop window, a roadside flower…and a truly excellent evening gig by the Manfreds…

Was tempted to upload another Halloween shop window photo…but this one appealed to me more…

A rain-spattered flower, in Southampton Road. Titchfield at lunchtime today…

Spent the best part of the evening watching the first gig of The Manfreds’ 50th Anniversary Tour at the Kings Theatre, Albert Road, Southsea, and it was easily the best gig I’ve seen in quite a while, with Paul Jones, Mike d’Abo, Tom McGuinness, Mike Hugg and others. It finished with dancing in the aisles and standing ovations…a great evening’s entertainment :).

More from Fratton Park…and an evening at the Kings Theatre in Southsea

A colourful offering from one of Fratton’s graffiti artists…

…and another…

The curtain that came down between the warm-up acts (The Virgin Soldiers and Chris Wood) and Joan Armatrading’s memorable set 🙂

Southsea at dusk…and beyond

View from Fratton station railway bridge around 7.15 this evening…

Entrance to The King’s Theatre, on the corner of Albert Road and Exmouth Road in Southsea…

‘The Goose at the V & A’ pub (formerly a police station), at the western end of Albert Road, Southsea.

A West Street sunrise…and a pink scooter in Southsea

Wandered along West Street, Fareham into the sunrise…

…and this is looking back along West Street heading towards Fareham station.

…and at the other end of the day, I picked up a couple of tickets for a Joan Armatrading gig at the Kings Theatre in Albert Road, Southsea, next Monday, then photographed this outside…for an upcoming production of ‘Grease’.

Desperados, Olympic Rings, and a golden statue joining in :).

Desperados indeed…in competition with the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Outside the Fawcett Inn pub in Fawcett Road, Southsea. ;).

Ah, that’s more like it…a Union Flag and some Olympic Rings…at the Duke of Devonshire pub in Albert Road…

And even the golden statue atop the Kings Theatre in Albert Road getting into the spirit of things…though you may have to zoom in here…
