Aha! obviously the locals are incapable of remembering what day of the week it is! Love the moon shots.
I’m not sure in how much common use those MON, TUE etc little silver plates are, but it does seem an unnecessary burden having to change them each day, for the postman or woman emptying the post!
Thanks for the moon shots comments; I picked up a new Canon digital compact for 69 quid a couple of weeks back, and I’m still getting used to it, but it does have a 330mm zoom lens (in 35mm terms), which makes capturing moon shots like that possible :).
