At the Great South Run 2012…

Not sure how much training for the event this trio put in, but they seem happy enough 😉

Helpers for one of the many charities with sponsored runners in the race…

Saw some sights in the runners’ costumes today (including a bloke in a mankini), but I think this was my favourite ;)…PS. And well done to Jenny and Dave :).

Great pics ~ I bet you were cold ~ what a shame it was such a miserable day, although most people look as though they are having great fun. 🙂
Did you get to see Jenny and Dave? 🙂
It was a tad chilly to be sure, but I went out well enough wrapped up ;).
Yes, I did get to meet Jenny and Dave (and Tim), and we had a drink and chat in the Red, White and Blue pub in Fawcett Road, Southsea, after the race :).
And I hope you had a good day on the Island :).
A shame you didn’t get a pic of the fella in the mankini ;-). At around the 8 mile mark people in the crowd started shouting “Come on you wallies”, and I was just wondering why when 3 runners dressed as Where’s Wally passed us 🙂 It was good to have a drink and a catch-up afterwards 🙂
Haha…the bloke in the mankini was almost past me when I noticed him, although I could’ve grabbed a photo of his bare buttocks disappearing into the distance I suppose ;). Whatever, I think he was a brave soul to (un)dress like that for a ten mile road race, especially given the weather….
Anyway, it was great to catch up with you and Tim, and to meet Dave for the first time 🙂
