What a wonderful parade it was too! I bet the atmosphere was amazing! I must admit to having a tear as I watched it on TV just now.
This has felt like such a great year (so far ~ don’t want to count my chickens :-)) ~ it seems like everyone has pulled together to celebrate the Jubilee and the Games in true British style and such warmth……long may it last! 🙂

  2. Yes, it was a lovely, happy atmosphere on the streets today, and it’s been an altogether extraordinary few months, with, as you say, the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics and Paralympics this summer. There have been lots of great memories for us all (or most of us!), and I think my fondest personal memory will be of the few hours I spent in the Olympic Stadium at Stratford watching the men’s blind triple jump competition: I used the word ‘privilege’ in the post I uploaded here last Thursday, and it truly was that; simultaneously both humbling and inspiring, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it :).
