Haha…I was going to say ‘You can take the girl out of North Finchley, but you can’t take North Finchley out of the girl’…but maybe substituting ‘Isle of Wight’ for ‘North Finchley’ would make it a lot truer ;).
As for the sky, yes, it clouded over a bit here in the afternoon (the N12 High Road photo, with the blue sky, was taken about midday), but the sun re-emerged towards sunset, so I wandered up to Totteridge Lane in the hope of a decent sky shot, and so it came to pass. Incidentally, Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, lives in Totteridge apparently, although I can’t say I’ve ever bumped into him doing his weekly shop in Waitrose in Whetstone :).
