Two London 2012 images…and one for my Mum ;)

Chen Guanming, aboard his tricycle, in Gerrard Street today, having cycled from Beijing to London…’to support Olympics…I hope my story can contribute to world peace and environment protection.’

Trafalgar Wenlock, at the southern end of the Charing Cross Road.

And last…but very far from least…today was my Mum’s 80th birthday, and this is one of her favourite flowers, an hibiscus, in her back garden.

Covent Garden busking, five rings on a river, and a maze of books…

Rob Falsini, a singer-songwriter, originally from Rome, entertaining us, in the early evening today, in the North Hall of Covent Garden Piazza.

Downstream from Waterloo Bridge, the Olympic Rings on the River Thames.

Some 200,000 books, on the floor of the Clore Ballroom in the Royal Festival Hall, in the process of being made into a giant maze, due to open on 31st July, 2012.

Images caught on a wander up to Waitrose in Whetstone…

Overseas places twinned with the London Borough of Barnet…

Approaching the setting sun in Woodside Lane, N12.

Desperados, Olympic Rings, and a golden statue joining in :).

Desperados indeed…in competition with the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Outside the Fawcett Inn pub in Fawcett Road, Southsea. ;).

Ah, that’s more like it…a Union Flag and some Olympic Rings…at the Duke of Devonshire pub in Albert Road…

And even the golden statue atop the Kings Theatre in Albert Road getting into the spirit of things…though you may have to zoom in here…

Southsea Rose Garden on a summer’s evening…

Fratton Park revisited: It’s all about Pam…and a meeting with Fark :)

It’s all about Pam, apparently…;)

….and here’s the girl herself…:)

And, as chance would have it, I got into an interesting ten minute conversation with a bloke walking his dog around Fratton Park this evening, who turned out to be none other thanĀ Fark, one of the major contributors to this Portsmouth street art, so here’s some of his stuff…

Fareham miscellany…

Stone steps leading up to Fareham railway station…

…and on the left, at the top, this stencilled graffito.

Yet another attempt to get a pollen-seeking bee in focus ;).

Stepping out in SW3 and SW1…

A shop front in Basil Street, SW3…

A visit to the wondrous emporium that is Harrods, in Brompton Road, SW3…

Followed by some welcome refreshment for XQ and me, in The Gloucester, the only pub in Sloane Street, SW1 :).
