Last day of an extraordinary Bank Holiday…

Near Charing Cross, mid-afternoon…all very British somehow…

In Pall Mall, at Waterloo Place…oh, well, it’s back to Trafalgar Square then ;)…

Near the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square…and what a great panorama for those people on the distant roof…:)

What an amazing Jubilee ‘Weekend’ it has been! Wonderful memories for so many people and such a wonderful patriotic buzz everywhere. Very proud indeed to be British when you see such scenes of togetherness from everyone……long may it last!
You are lucky to have been on the spot. I bet you have taken so many great pictures like these too! 🙂
Totally agree…and yes, I took a lot of photos, but, in a sense, luckily, I was only ever going to restrict myself to uploading three a day on this photo-blog ;).
Sadly, Southampton’s events on Tuesday were a total wash-out, and the Red Arrows had to be cancelled. I suppose I could have got up at 5am to see the 3 Queens, Mary, Victoria and Elizabeth together in Southampton Water, but I’m a firm believer that there should only be one 5 o’clock in a day!
You have my sympathy; I spent a few years doing a job that had a 6.00 am start, and even in the summer, it wasn’t much fun getting up before five in the mornings ;). By the way, they have a photo in today’s Metro newspaper of the three Queens in Southampton Harbour yesterday morning, and they make quite an impressive sight :).
