Thanks! It’s actually a view that lends itself very readily to a photograph, and I guess there are thousands of similar pictures recorded in London tourists’ cameras the world over. Actually, I was also trying to take a photo of a couple of white herons on an island in the lake, but the digital compact I’m now using (though excellent for macro) has only a three times zoom on it, and the distant herons were still too small in the resulting images, so I abandoned the idea of uploading a photo of them here.
