A photo (or three) a day for 2012.

Post number 100: a rainy Easter Monday…and back to Southsea.

I really am not into cars, but this E-type Jaguar 4.2, parked in North Finchley High Road this afternoon, seemed worth a picture 🙂

Waterloo Station, London's busiest, with 90 million passengers a year apparently (Victoria comes second, with 70 million).

A rainy Guildford Station...funnily enough, on the coach journey to Victoria last Thursday, the young chap sitting next to me was going home to Guildford, after spending a week with his girlfriend at Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight :).

    More great pics 🙂
We had a red E-Type very similar to that, way back in the 70’s. It was red and had a hard top and a soft top….don’t know what the full title was though.
Many memories over the years of Waterloo station….looking much older than that when I first went there :).
What a coincidence with the young chap. I wonder if the couple had met at uni? 🙂
I have only seen Guildford station, while passing on a train. My grandma used to live in New Malden…..and we visited Guildford (by bus) to shop…in the olden days 🙂

  2. Haha, looking at that rather glamorous photo of you on FB, which I guess was taken in the 1970s, I can just picture you whizzing around in a red E-Type in those days ;). Yes, I think the young chap I was speaking to on the coach may well have met his girlfriend at Uni, but I didn’t probe that deeply. However, I did mention to him that I knew a young woman from the Isle of Wight who was studying for a degree in Music Technology at the University in Guildford ;).

I was a bit braver at having my pic taken in those days…but not much 🙂

I didn’t drive then, unfortunately …. just a passenger ~ and helper for putting the roof on and off ….. so not that glam ~ lol.
